The house stands in 15 acres of land with 8-acre lake, surrounded by
the high mountains of Central Snowdonia, 200m from the renowned Pen
y Gwryd Hotel, (which is closed November, December, and open
weekends only during January and early February).
The situation at the head of the beautiful Nant Gwynant valley,
between Beddgelert, Capel Curig and Llanberis makes it an ideal
location for exploring the Snowdonia National Park, with many local
tourist attractions and superb beaches within easy reach. The house
provides an ideal base for walking, mountaineering or relaxed
holidays in Snowdonia.
Snowdon, the highest mountain in England and Wales, can be ascended
from the house.

Trout fishing
(fly only) is available in Lockwood's Lake and the house has a large
attractive garden with stream running through it.

Accommodation
The self-catering accommodation at Hafod y Gwynt will sleep twelve
persons and consists of four bedrooms - a family room with double
bed and bunks and en-suite bathroom, second family room with double
bed and bunks with en suite shower, a double bedroom with wash
basin, a twin bedroom with wash basin. Family bathroom with toilet
and separate toilet/cloakroom.
A cot is available and pets are welcome
Lounge with lake views, colour television/DVD/video, solid fuel
stove, and parquet flooring. Kitchen/dining room with quarry-tiled
floor, gas hob, electric oven cooker, microwave, dishwasher and
fridge/freezer. Coin box telephone. Conservatory provides
alternative sitting/dining area. Utility room through door off
kitchen with auto washing machine, tumble drier and freezer.
Electric heaters throughout and electric under blankets on all beds
(not bunks), electricity by coin meter, or gas central heating extra
by arrangement. There is ample parking whilst camping is also
possible in the grounds and alongside the lake.
Holiday
Rental.
In the season weekly bookings are normally Friday to Friday, but
short midweek (Sunday to Friday) and weekend bookings are possible.

Charges
for out of season weekends (three nights) and mid-week breaks
are negotiable depending on numbers in party. For larger groups
(over seven persons) we generally charge £15.00 per person
per night. For parties less than seven the charge is £240.00
per weekend including heating with a third night at £120.00
Camping
is available either in the garden or in the land opposite the
house by the lake for £3.50 per person per night or £26.00
per tent per week
